Hi everyone,
It’s been a big month! Plenty to report.
Feedback Poll
More than 400 backers from Kickstarter and Indiegogo participated in the online feedback poll (HERE) thank you, the results were invaluable.
The key result of the poll was that practically everyone wanted a larger cylinder option with more air capacity. A belt strap was also high on everyone’s wish list, as was a smaller travel case. I am pleased to announce that I’ll be able to offer larger cylinders, retractable Scorkl holders that can be attached to a belt, and a small case with your orders if you want them as well.
You can see photos of them HERE. They aren't available here on Indiegogo yet but I'll send out a "Backer Survey" closer to November, to confirm everyone's shipping and order details, which will offer you the opportunity to add them to your order if you would like.
Materials Ordered, Factory Inspections and Testing
Over the last month or so I’ve been doing factory inspections and arranging for the materials to be purchased, and samples tested, for our manufacturing order. You can see a couple of photos of the factory inspections HERE.
Shipping Date
Timing-wise, we’re in a bit of a holding pattern at the moment. All the raw materials have been ordered and delivered to the various factories but I’m waiting for the testing agency to certify the cylinders and regulators to the requisite international standards before the large manufacturing run begins.
The timing of when these tests and inspections will be complete is out of my hands. It should hopefully be a relatively straightforward process when it does happen but it could take weeks, potentially even months, to finalise.
To be as clear as possible, I would say that the likelihood of being able to ship in October is low, but that likelihood of being able to ship before the end of the year is still very high.
As always I’ll be doing my best to get all the orders fulfilled as soon as I can but thank you for your patience and understanding.
Communications
I’m super busy trying to get the manufacturing process started so can be slow responding to your inquiries. I always get to them eventually though so feel free to keep sending any questions or comments. It’s always great hearing from you.
Thanks as always for your patience and support.
Dave
